Your driver will pick you up at 7.30 am at your accommodation in Marrakech. Experience an authentic journey to the Sahara Desert of Erg Chegaga. the first interesting stop will be the gorgeous High Atlas Mountains with the amazing landscape and Berber villages. Afterwards drive to the Berber village of Taznakht, known by its handmade carpets. Stop for the visit of a woman cooperative for carpets, then continue to Foum-Zguid for lunch break. After that, leave the paved road and join the exotic off road via the dry lake of Iriqui, until Chegaga desert. Arrival to the getaway of a calm and charming Sahara Desert where you enjoy the splendor of the sunset during a guided 1-hour camel ride. Overnight including half board at the Sahara Service Standard Camp, Erg Chegaga.

After enjoying a picturesque sunrise upon the sand dunes and a refreshing breakfast at the camp, we take a short off-road ride to the village of M’hamid (once considered as one stop destination for the trading caravans). The tour continues to the village of Tamegrout where you will visit an ancient library with manuscripts of mathematics, theology, astrology, etc. You will also have the possibility to visit a local pottery factory and an underground Kasbah. We drive along the Draa valley admiring the palm groves and the old tribal Ksours via Zagora and Agdz to reach the “Hollywood of Africa” named Ouarzazate. After lunch, we drive toward to Ait Ben Haddou for a visit and then drive back to Marrakech past the stunning Atlas Mountains scenery.
